Jon told me about this yesterday, I may have to get one. Might even get one for work. My reception totally blows in both locations. Sounds like the same thing you have Mark. It won't allow just anyone to use it, you have to register the phones to the device, which makes sense to me - I don't want the entire neighborhood sucking up my bandwidth.

hey Robbie, why don't you get Skype for your iPhone. At least for outbound calls. Mine works great connecting to my wireless at home

I could give you several reasons.
In regards to plans on the femto, I don't care. I have 3100 rollover minutes stored right now, and had 230 drop off this month. I NEVER use my plan's 450 minute per month limit, don't even come close. It's unusual for me to go over 100 minutes.

You would if: 1. your company paid for your phone 2. it is critical to your job that you be available, within reason
And that's not even considering all the family reasons to have one, which are even more important than the reasons above.
We were probably one of the very first lower-middle income couples to have a cell phone (bag phone on MetroCell - does $16k to $18k per year, family income qualify for that bracket? LOL). I didn't want Julie driving all the way from Azle to Denton and back for college on 114 (gravel trucks) without a way to contact someone if she had a problem. We hardly EVER used the phone, 32 cents a minute was EXPENSIVE back then.

Me too overall. I found 2 of my old Nokia phones, but could not find the chargers for them. :(

I really like my old Nokia. It's just a phone, no camera even. I literally charge the thing once a week, and I rarely, if EVER drop a call on it. And that's using the crappy AT&T network. Worst thing about it is the battery cover pops off too easily now. May have to break out the duct tape.
